The Closed Book

The Closed Book

A Poem by tiana hernandez

It all did matter
But it always lead him to wonder
Who would really care?
This world just isn’t fair
How could he dare?
To spare..
And let someone read
Out his feelings, to unseed
His feelings bled slowly
But into the words of remedy
Words into writing
As the bleeding became tiring
He wished someone heard his voice
As he screamed for help with no choice
He was left to plant his feelings
And leave them to burden, which sounds decciving
But it was the truth of it all
As he began to slowly fall

It was all in the writing
Even how he felt like he was breaking
Breaking internally
While showing something else externally
Happiness on the outside
While everything was kept inside
Open the book they’ll say
But that was his go to everyday
No one to call
No one to catch him fall
No one to wipe the tear
Or hold him away from his own fear
But the book was always there
The book was his go to
His shoulder to lean on
And what made him more to be done
