3A.M. Walks

3A.M. Walks

A Poem by tiana hernandez

The long walks
With all the emotional talks
One night
She lost sight
Started walking and walking
Not stopping her talking
Thoughts and thoughts
As she let out her doubts
Lost in the world by herself
Wishing she could say ourself
But she was alone in the dark night
With no one around or in sight
Lost in her mind
Trying to rewind
The times when she watched movies
And had milk wish cookies
What could she really do?
Going through the street wondering that question too
There was nothing
Her mind was lost in everything
From stress to depress
To faking a smile to feeling it with sadness
Slowing down as she walked
And stopped the talk
She turned to the right
And happy holidays was in sight
How beautiful the sign
But her happiness was slowly to die
Sitting there now
She took a bow
and sat down
Looking at the sign with a little frown
Happy Holidays?
She wished for better happy days
Sad walks like these
She was used to because it was a release
A get away from the world at three in the morning
When everyones fast asleep and snoring
When the roads are silent
And she felt by herself with the streets settlement
This she enjoys
The quietness without boys
The emptiness without girls
Or music that makes everyone swirl
The silence
Of the three am walks
