Dark Room

Dark Room

A Poem by tiana hernandez

Looking at the dark ceiling
While the heart is tearing
Questions in mind
How could it feel so real
But so blind
To fullness with a tiny peal
Why now
How?

Breaking of confusion
Trying to figure a solution
But it might be too late
So here lets wait
Wait for it to come back
Let my mind get back on track
Maybe later on, a spark will shine again
But for now lets pretend

Lets act
Not react
Lets sit here
And wait for it all to disappear
From the mind
Of the blind
From the confusion
Of a repetition

To something that slid
To it becoming a skid
From a doubt
That now makes it sought
To wonder
How about closure?
How about reassurance?
Or it being balance?

Instead it'll lay in the dark
Hoping the feelings will park
And go away
But day after day...

Black days remain
Sadness will contain
And the mind
Will try and find
The pieces of the puzzle
Of the hurt being a rumble...
