![]() Looking in His Soulful EyesA Poem by thyra![]() This is a free-verse love poem when two strangers met on a beach and fell in love.![]() I remember the first day I saw Lee. He was staring at the beach silently. The sun at this time was, really, scorching hot. Nothing’s wrong to approach him, what have I got? There was peace, pure happiness and true honesty in his face. While, I walked toward, he bid me, “Who is this lady with grace?” More, he said, "My you’re a damsel of sight!" Here, I laughed crazy loud, answered, “Such a nice way to start right!” Lee held my hands with feeling and told me, "The purpose of living is not for a miserable person. We are, always, driven by something planned before being born. It was words so nice to hear. Such compassion for a stranger as him. Rhetorically, I agreed, “Maybe this time it will be different, putting our trust in God and keeping self-purposes for firm. Now, on our wedding day, we stood motionless. Waving any aimless distraction, in quiet desperation, we are not careless. © 2013 thyra |
