forgetting me.
A Poem by thundershine
Remembering lost love.
A long lost memory whispered across my face; it swirled past my eyes and danced through my hair. A sensation, long forgotten, filled the caverns of my soul with a wave of loving warmth. I remembered. I remembered the moments of intense peace, of the melodious harmony of two hearts waltzing on a shooting star. I remembered the feeling of home, of a resting place for my weary heart. I remembered a part of me that was taken away. A part so confident, yet unsure. A part so open, yet so closed. A part so knowledgeable, yet so naive. A flicker of pain. The remembrance of the moment when I lost myself crossed my body like a crucifying blow. Then, the memory floated away on the meandering breeze and the remembrance of my true self vanished. Once more the play-world of reality began again.
