Half & Half

Half & Half

A Poem by M.A. Carr

I'm disturbed by the quiet

I'm alarmed by the drone

what is this silence

when I'm all alone

where are the days

in which I felt free

and what is this place

that I now see

Is it a prison for the uncouth

or a mere station along life's booth
