Tick Tock

Tick Tock

A Poem by Dove

Tick tock, tick tock…

A young girl in the kitchen just doing the dishes

She goes over her life and her unfulfilled wishes

When she’s finished she’s in a daze

She realizes her life is awful she’s so amazed

Tick tock, tick tock…

So she walks to her dads closet and finds his gun

She feels alone in this world, she feels like she’s the only one

Tick tock, Tick tock…

She brakes down in tears

And cries why did I have to be miserable, for all these years

I never did anything wrong why do I deserve this

I don’t understand Lord please help me stop this

Tick tock, tick tock…

She waits a while, but there was never an answer

She thinks should I do this now or should I do this later

Meanwhile her mother is almost to the door

She says to herself hmm my daughter I adore

But I never really show it

I cant wait to have this mother daughter moment

Tick tock, tick tock…

As she tries to get through the front door

She realizes there’s something blocking the door

She gets the door open a little bit

She peeks inside and what she saw she couldn’t comprehend it

Tick tock, tick tock…

She saw her baby with a gun in her hand

Baby don’t do it, no mom you don’t understand

Soon as the mom gets through the door she runs to her daughter

Right before she got to her baby she pulled the trigger

Tick tock, tick tock…

No!! Come on baby stay with me

Please please baby im so sorry

The daughter stops moving

The mother just couldn’t stop crying

So she checked her pulse then the realized

The special sparkle was no longer in her babies eyes

Tick tock, tick tock…

R.I.P. to all the young girls who have ended their own lives
