Song of the Runaways

Song of the Runaways

A Poem by thundaguy

We’ll pack and leave
All this behind
No longer confined
To this weave

We’ll run away
Some place far
Have no delay
It’s our day

Let’s go away
Far, far away
Get out of town
Leave with no frown

Pack all our bags
Bring what we need
We’ll be freed
Yes, indeed

We’ll find a place
Back downtown
Just run around
It’s your home

We’ll find love
Deep in our hearts
Look straight above
To our life

Let’s go away
Far, far away
Get out of town
Leave with no frown

Pack all our bags
Bring what we need
We’ll be freed
Yes, indeed

We’ll live life
To the best that we can
Have no plan
Go with a flow

We’ll die free
Oh, so happy
We’ll have lived out our lives
Perfectly

Let’s go away
Far, far away
Get out of town
Leave with no frown

Pack all our bags
Bring what we need
We’ll be freed
Yes, indeed
