Evolution of Being

Evolution of Being

A Poem by thumbelina

I heard a whisper,
whisper this:
"hit, or miss?"
I heard a cry,
pleading to understand,
WHY?!
I heard screams,
begging to be told,
what this all means?
I heard an echo;
asking,
to be let go.
I saw a shadow,
dancing alone,
in a distorted glow.
I saw a reflection,
just searching...
for affection.
I saw the sun,
I SAW THE SUN!
I...

I sawed,
the sun,
in half.

And it melted,
as the rays shivered,
in to two dividing rivers.
I watched a snake,
tempt fate,
and, he succeeded.
I watched as the woman bled,
innocent -
she was being misled.
I watched this woman,
grow old, and,
unfold.
I watched time,
I watched time,
I watched time become redifined...
I parted,
into four seasons,
as the years, deepened.
I heard a whisper,
whisper this:
"bliss".
