Angry colours, delightful colours

Angry colours, delightful colours

A Poem by threelittlebirds

Soledad

I live in Soledad, they said

I live in loneliness

My home, a stairway

A road, I say

Colour is my shelter

Music to my ears

Though life has done me wrong

It doesn’t matter anymore

My shadow has grown with me

I must not try to kill it

It’s a blessing and a curse

Although into me it tore

My guardian, my angel

She beat back my angry past

For as I walk, stretched out before me

Is my shadow

Above me, rainbows

A harmony of angry colours

Delightful colours " colours

And hues

Tones and textures

Pure notes

Harmonies

The rainbow is my drug.
