Lust leads the way -

Sorrow is for the weak -
Jealousy's random streak
Marks gluttony when chanced,
Compassion long lanced -
Wrath supersedes
Sloth to the kills.
Pride of malice
Profoundly relished
Judgment abated

i love how you present some of the deadly sins and other human emotions in packed and short sentences. powerful effect, the beat and rhyme of the poem is really good as well. "The advent horizon is the present too long..." it seems abstract ,so it's awesome.

thanks a lot ... i intended the last line to be like that ... it can be both a question or a statement (though while writing, in the extreme mood of the piece I intended to be an absolute nail with the no hopes left feel) ...
