A Poem by Angie SuperNova Thompson

She sits there, purring, quietly.
She appears gentle
Soft to the touch
You trust your own senses

She draws you near
With her sweet purrs
You come close
Expecting to be enveloped in her sweet nectar

What you didnt realize is
She has fangs
Razor sharp
And claws that can shred you to pieces

Trust not your heart with her
She will soon break it
And leave you wimpering
In the aftermath

She is lovely to behold
But like a cactus tree
She is prickly and hollow
Her water is shallow

Her bite is worst than her bark
She doesn't Bark
She only purrs

And gazes into your eyes
with deep penetration

Beware of her gaze
It's hauntingly wicked

She will permeate your soul
Take from you all you have to offer
And leave you
lonely and confused

She is the night
Covered in darkness
But twinkles like a star

As soon as morning comes
She is chased away by the light

The light shows her weaknesses
Her flaws
The errors in her ways

Beware of her
Dont let her promises of love fool you

The taste is so sweet
Success. Fortune. Fame.
She will leave you wanting more.
But will soon forget your name.
