I Was Blind

I Was Blind

"
Life is about giving
back instead of taking.
I took a lot all my life,
apathetic and selfish.
When I see people today,
they don't look like marks.
I don't think about what I
can take from them.
They are God's handiwork.

Life is strange and short.
I couldn't have caused this
inner transition.
I always subscribed to
morality in theory.
Thank God,
the blind still receives sight.

Sometimes, acquaintances will say
that I've grown soft
as they turn to green Jello, right
before my eyes.

Dear Thomas
I believe in our younger years we tend to take, take everything we can get...collect...then in our olders years, after working hard....we tend to want to give back to society...we wake up and realize, life is short and we should so something to make a difference.... this is so true!!

A transformation has occurred in your life. It seems God has had a hand in it. Wonderful. The last lines are clever.

Soft is okay at times.
I like to think what counts is not where we’ve come from, it's where we are going that matters.

Better to be 'soft' and at peace than 'hard as nails'. As we get older, we realise that the Lord's Work is the true path. Really Excellent ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
