"
She had that
octopus smile,
always reaching for
something.
I was her small
fish; her handmaid.
I lived in her nebulous
world for far too long.
Inky confusion...

There's a reason for
your treason, said the
old man to the shark,
but Hem forgot, a beast
is a beast, they do
beastly things.
We all have to eat.

I'm done being the
meal.
It's your Ocean,
I'm just trying to
swim in it.

You're an oyster,
and I want your
pearl,
but I won't drown
for it.

Good evening Thomas. I had to read this through 4 or 5 times, it gave me such delight. It’s very late, I’m very sleepy and I’m not finding words well. Let me just say: Well done sir! and I will take along your words, the last read tonight, into my world of dreams.

Wow, I really like this, especially the line “I’m done being the meal”
I felt the contrast between the living beings that hunt others and are hunted.

Thank you. Much appreciated.
Drowning for the love and affection of someone else who doesn’t appreciate or feel the same way isn’t beneficial.

Deep impactful thought that is relatable for many reasons and many topics organ just romantic love.
