Memory Fades

"
You chatter away like
an angry squirrel,
I watch you scamper
off and finally resemble
a fading flower.

Noisy echoes of too much of a barrage, quarrels and words meant to hurt. Like a squirrel or squirrels, non-stop too much of everything.. anything.. sad and cynical. Memories not dis-similar to yours are emotional bullets - raw and blooded. Could they be called worthless, Thomas?

Indeed, memories, especially unpleasant ones, can fight for your attention when you least expect them. I think it's the feeling mind trying to remind you it's alive.
