The Sky Calls

The Sky Calls

"
It's been five years, but
I still miss her.
Home was in
her arms.
That brown hair and
those blue eyes still
dance through my
dreams.
Everyday was
Valentines Day when
we were together.
She's always in my
heart, but the
sky calls;
time doesn't

Missing somebody so special is very lovingly penned in this poem. I love the line "But the sky calls" which tells me this so nice person is now in Spirit, bless. Five years or fifty years, "the missing you" will still be there. We never stop missing our loved ones until the moment we are reunited with them again. Poignant, but simultaneously beautiful! Thank you for sharing, Thomas...

So true. Thank you, Stella.
Some really significant person has been out of the picture for five years, but still the speaker cannot forget her. The cause of the separation is not stated. One thing is certain, though; the period of mourning is far from over.
