Fear is like the shadow of a bat, larger than life. I taste the rabid nightmares; they poison my soul. Anger masks the fear. I hear the harpies scream in my febrile brain and my faith is small as a grain of sand growing slowly over time.
Fear and anger poison the soul, as well as the mind where they set our imagination on fire in a negative way and you have captured that finely in this excellently penned poem, Thomas. A tiny grain of faith is like the tiny grain of sand which overtime creates a precious pearl in an oyster, it too will grow into a pearl of consciousness to fight both fear and anger. Lovely work! Thank you for sharing...
