May the Sun Die

"
In the country
on gentle silk
nights
I held you;
felt your satin
skin against mine;
smelled the lavender
in your hair.
And in the
morning,
I wanted
the sun to
melt and die
and
fall from the sky,
like a
blazing orb of
passion.

Wow! I love this beautiful, warm, passionate, tender sensual poem, Thomas. Majestic visual detail brings the poem to life and it is as if you are reliving those heady days all over again through the memories. Excellent use of various figures of speech. True love at its v-e-r-y best! Outstanding romantic write, dear Thomas. A joy to read and thank you for sharing, dear friend...
