"
Psilocybin silly when the
cops arrive.
Sitting on the couch naked,
laughter aching jaws.
They ask where my wallet is?
I ask, where my pants are?
Even they laugh.
I can't say mushrooms are
all bad.
They are the catalyst that
brought me back to the
hospital to deal with the
real killer...
Booze.

Tom.
There is something magical about the non-existent thing we call "mind." It is like "Never Never Land," "Narnia," or "Middle Earth," I love visiting, and a little psychedelic canoe to travel in makes it even better...
OH! Those wide horizons!

Yes it does.
Reading your poem it crossed my mind how often a road taken in life leads to a road we need to travel in order to get back on the right road again, Thomas. You narrate the story of how a visit from the police which ended up with you being hospitalised lead to dealing with an alcohol problem and I know that was not an easy road to travel, Thomas. I wish you the very best of Good Luck and pray you never turn back to walk that path again. Thank you for sharing. I am certain your words will help anybody who needs to read them. Nicely inked, Thomas...

I never got any farther into drugs than occasional Mary Jane. You're right about alcohol, though. It can be totally unforgiving.

ouch. i guess they don't call them magic for nothing. the only use i have for them is with a nice medium rare steak. you have a flair for turning the seemingly unacceptable truth and harsh reality of life into entertaining reading.

Should I have laughed at the finish! No, but I did. Such fruitless hobbies, sir.. but. who knows, without them you may never have made me smile.
