If I could take this
moment and
own it,
hold it,
like a piece of paper,
I'd fold it
and
stow it away,
like
a pocket knife.

If you would be
my wife,
I'd be the
happiest guy in
the world.
You'd be my
girl,
and I'd be your man...
I would hold
your hand and kiss you,
and you'd never
miss me again.

I love this beautifully penned poem, so romantic, delightful and charming. All we have is the present moment in time, the next one is not promised to us and so, we should make the most we can of the present and make beautiful memories for the future. I adore the simplicity of this poem. It is penned without need for flowery language or in depth picturization, which makes it perfect! The longing for someone so special to be your girl and for you to be her man is very finely expressed and wrapped in warm and tender words.
