There is a road to sorrow. The pain is palpable; it involves drugs, booze, and bad women. It ends with life under a bridge. There are lots of hospitalizations. It's hell on earth. Seizures and sickness. Love was my haven, but I lost it. I left ME behind.

A heavy poem and a dark road. I have seen many that have taken this road and few that have survived it. The end of this road you paint is marked by the last line that comes down with a crash like a dead end street.
they say you can beat an egg and of course you can beat a drum too but I've never heard it said that you can beat a bad woman .. because you can't can ya eh' .. well penned my friend .. Neville
Beautifully written and so profound! I must go to your You Tube channel one day. I see you are from Clear Lake, IA. I drive by it every time I go home to Albert Lea, MN. Small world we live in. :-)

An excellent snapshot.
