An extremely honest and hard hitting poem, Thomas. I particularly like the second verse. The trouble with love is that unless the connection lasts one will always find themselves back in the nuthouse where they started. There is an honesty in your poems that beat all manner of fake descriptive poems. You reach into your gut and give us what lies within, no holds barred.
I have vague memories of raw, unadulterated passion...maybe one day I will be able to feel it again instead of just fantasizing.

This reminds me of the song "requiem pour um fou" by Lara Fabian and Johnny Hallyday where he says love has made a mad man out of him. Dramatic and powerful.
