"
A black splash
washes over my mind.
A dark flow that
bursts into bloom, like
Oleander or Night Shade.
The four leaf clover in
my pocket broke into a
thousand green tears.
Lovers know how to kill.
And when she keeps me from
my daughter, she's the
executioner, and smiles.
But the sublime thing about
life and love is: I will
never give up.
If I fall 100 times,
I will rise 101.
And I'll see you
soon, my little Iris.

Similarly Thomas my son stopped me from seeing his twins for a lot of years out of spite, but birthdays and Christmas i have always sent cards and money so they would know i was thinking of them .
Recently they turned 18 and the boy got in touch .... he had missed my presence all those years but now i have him back and his father can do nothing about it ... he is of age at 18.
You will have daughter back i am sure when she is free to find you again ..

Lovers do know how to kill, I wholeheartedly agree, and in the most selfish, brutal ways, too. Keeping a child from their parent out of sheer spite is deplorable. An emotional poem, Thomas.

Thank you. Much appreciated.
Now this I do understand and empathise with. I lost my daughter a couple of few years ago and then again two years ago. This speaks to me hard.

Thanks, Ken. I appreciate it.
The pain of a parent separated from a child is palpable in this poem. Your daughter will know her daddy loves her. Go to court. Make sure the visitation is part of the court action. Do you pay child support? That could have something to do with it. Lydi
