Lightning Visions

Lightning Visions

A Poem by Thomas H.

Where do I go, to leave myself behind
Where can I stay, to start over when night falls today
How can I start choosing me, not become one of you

Lightning struck my aching head, took my mouth, could've broken my back
And my body aches like the times you could fight it
To feel the light against my head and feel the pain underneath your skin

Authenticate my dimming light
My relevance is running out of time
And poverty doesn't suit my temperament
Could the rest of me make me see

All my time was wasted
All good things come once and become irrelevant later
All I seem to do is make you leave me too
