Return Again

Return Again

A Poem by Thomas Kainaroi

A step upon the keystone
Marks the return
Of the prince of salt,
The beggar of salt.

The shadow goes forth
Into the shade-swelling crowds,
To observe the answer
And walk in temperance.

The hallways dwell in my mind.
I dwell in the hallways,
But I live somewhere else.

High fashion is seen beyond the glass.
It looks okay,
But I prefer my scarf.
