The Sail

The Sail

A Poem by Thomas Kainaroi

There is a sail,
It can be seen in the distance.
Observe as it travels in our direction.

The wind carries the sail,
The sail holds within itself
All the dreams,
All the visions,
All the wishes
Of those who walk below,
And slumber in the depths,
The soul of the vessel.

A tapestry of the threading night light,
Who dwells and travels inside.

Now we arrive at the island of the east.
I will lay down upon the surface of the mystic pond
And dream all that which has been said.
The image and mind-life are one.
