My Envy

My Envy

A Poem by Kyle

How I envy them all,

Close knit communities, shared experiences.

Yet for me, I can experience none.

I am missing this closeness, that bond.

You are my own flesh and blood,

And I wish that we could talk.

But you have shown that you would have no part,

So I must turn my back.

No longer, do I want anything to do

With either of you. I still love you though.

don’t get me wrong, id go to the ends of the earth,

Even kill for you. But I cannot have this anymore.

Please listen to them, those that gave you life

Please realize this, take notice of their words,

Of my love for you carried through my hate.

For what you see as hate, is only my frustration.

Frustration for what I dream to have,

Dreams of closeness, of a common bond.

Dreams of an unconditional love,

Of which I am only able to envy in others.
