DualityA Poem by Emily In DisguiseGood times, fun times. You and me, we rhyme.
Why can't you see? We are meant to be.
Fake lies, true excuses. Do you really want to lose this?
You say you care. For me? When and where?
Smooth talk, sly kisses. Forgotten promise, lost wishes.
Reading minds, frozen eyes. Would you break these eternal ties?
Unsure gaze with certainty. Why do I let you confuse me?
Let me be but never leave. Let me go so I can't breathe.
Waking dream, living nightmare. Can you prove that you still care?
My life, your game. Do you even know my name?
My thoughts still true. Still true towards you.
Your thoughts. Unglued. Disappearing. Never viewed. © 2008 Emily In DisguiseAuthor's Note
