Humble

Humble

A Poem by Jose Camacho

When richest man has lost his diamonds,
My smile will still be mine.
And when he's lost it all,
I am rich of laughs and joy.

When tallest man has fallen,
I am still on my feet.
And when he cries for help,
I am on top of his tears.

I've seen life in many forms;
through eyes of rich and poor,
And through my very own.
The poor will rise, and rich will die alone.

A man in gold is heavy at heart,
He lives in skies of bitterness.
I live in house of sticks and mud--
My heart chose to be humble.

When richest man has lost his pearl,
My smile is still mine.
And when he's fallen to his knees,
The poor shall rise with joy.

Happy is not a man with riches
for his heart will turn to stone.
Joyful is a humble soul,
who lives and laughs and never stands alone.

Your words are true in the amazing poem. The simple things are the most values. Laughter, smiles and time with family. Money can make you content for a time. One day you will learn. You are alone. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
