Lovesick

Lovesick

A Poem by Sarah Marie

Lovesick like never before
Is making me grow sore.
Ill to my stomach, a pain in my chest,
Last thing I want is to rest
Without you beside me in bed,
My face becoming warm and red.
Symptoms passion and pain,
I feel I may go lame.
Miracle for healing all I pray,
Take my breath away-
Fervor in my fever.
How can I shiver and burn?
How you make me yearn.
Can I expect the worst,
Will I die of thirst
Without a kiss
Or even be missed?
Fervor in my fever.
Lovesick like never before
Has got me needing more
Of that healing touch-
Be my crutch.
