Words from the CreatorA Poem by Sarah MarieI will sculpt you out of clay With this potter’s hand; At first you will be dust, But you shall rise from sand. In my image you shall be made, Created with my frame in mind; First I will make you good, Then caring, meek, and kind- I will add forgiveness to your heart, For free will is hard for all. In my likeness you shall be made, But you will be quite small- All the world will know your pains, For fear and doubt are human things; Yet always will I be there For you to come to and cling. I will paint you in ways Beautiful only to me; You shall be like a rare jewel Too bright for the world to see. I will call you mine, And you shall be my own; Some might love you, some might hate, But you will never be alone. I will show you how to speak, How to laugh, sing, and praise; You will be a joy to me, A light in this potter’s gaze; You will never need to earn my care, Compassion, trust, or love; You are the favorite creation Of this Potter above. © 2013 Sarah MarieReviews
