Be for Me

Be for Me

A Poem by Sarah Marie

Brave the storm,
And brave the sea-
Brave the turbulence
That is me;
Fight the battles
Each and every day-
Then you will be able
To brave me, I pray.
Defeat the waves
And silence the thunder-
Stir my heart
And let it skip asunder.
Ride the lightning
And calm lapping crests-
Cause the breath
To escape from my chest.
Be all you can
And be all for me-
Prove each day
That you and I
Can be we.

I love this. It reminds me of a poem I once wrote about a relationship (friendship, lovers, etc). And the moral of that poem asked the question how much do you really know that you loved somebody, unless you are battle proven. This piece reminds me a lot about that concept, and it is truly magnificent,Sarah. Thank you for your read request, and great job :)))

:) Glad you like this!
In your light and darkness, you shed the framework of self. All that is within you, hiding and insecure? There is much more of love and hope and life. Yes... your love will see past the shadows to your sweet substance and be strong.

Sarah Marie, you write beautifully. Your message is strong and your flow is extremely smooth. Are these written from personal experiences or from your imagination?
