Let LiveA Poem by Sarah Marielife in ramblingLife- It is fleeting; The heart Will cease beating One faraway day. The breath Knows no better Than to escape the breast Only to return And relieve a desperate soul; Every turn And every corner boasts Dangers unknown to man, Ignored by the ignorant And those who deny death In pitiful vain. Let life live And leave life to love, For with every breath, It nears the final gasp, Life too capricious a thing To admit when it will Grow weary and fade. What good is life When it is not lived in ways Only the heart can dictate, In ways only one Can dare to comprehend? It is a personal, sacred thing- It is to be revered and cherished While explored and prodded, Helpless in the hands Of he or she Who breathes in each breath.
