For SaleA Poem by Sarah MarieIf dreams were for sale, What would you buy? Would you buy silver wings And learn how to fly? Would you ask for fins And sparkle like a fish? Anything is possible, A dream a desperate wish. If you dreamed to rule, Would you buy a kingdom? Would you rule with grace Or be taken for little ransom? If dreams were for sale, Would you ask for speed, Strength, or death ray eyes? If you follow, would you lead? Anything is possible As long as you dream- Anything is possible, But few are as they seem. If you could, would you buy Your dream of your first friend? Do you miss loved ones And dream to see them again? Would you buy happiness, For many but a dream far away? Do you dream to separate from others, Or do your dream to stay Wherever you are with whoever you have? What do you dream; What would you buy? What would put the gleam In your dreamy, hazy eyes? What if dreams Could be bought? Would you buy only one Or would you buy a lot? What if you could buy What your heart wants to believe and see? Aren't you glad That dreams are for free?
