No RegretsA Poem by Sarah MariePride comes before the fall, But the fall must hurt Before humility can appear; Like a little child reaching out, The strongest cannot help but cry. The scariest times are those When one who is loved must hurt For another to realize Where he or she has failed and wandered, Life too short for ignorance And selfish desires and paths. Anger comes before harsh words, Regret not far behind; Are hurt feelings really worth A lifetime of wondering Or even a moment of sadness? Experience is the most painful Teacher one can be fortunate enough to have. Friends are forever or for awhile, But hold on to them at least while you can; May they love you, and may they hurt you, The true test of a real friend written In memories, laughs, and tears. Live life to the fullest if you must, But always try to live life in a way That only you can, in a way unique to you.
