RainbowA Poem by Sarah Marie
We met in the early spring
Under a rainbow's wing; Talked for hours on a swing- Love is a beautiful thing. Love lives and love grows- A secret everybody knows; Yet it can also die and go Away. They told me so But I was too young to care, Too in love to share, Thinking it just wasn't fair. Now I'm living with a tear In my heart from pain- I know things will never be the same; I have grown to hate the rain For the rainbow always wanes Just like love and life- It cut me like a knife To know I could never be his wife. How do I still survive? We meet where love grows, His grave buried under snow In the eyes of every rainbow- Reminding me that love and life both go. © 2012 Sarah MarieReviews
