Keep

Keep

A Poem by Sarah Marie

May we fail to cross all the Sands;
Even in each particle or grain,
There should always be some mystery
In the form of unknown lands.
May we never tame the Waters;
They have much to show and teach
From the breaking and violent waves-
Lessons not ours but for sons and daughters.
May we fail to always climb the Mountains
Or reach the snow-covered peaks;
Adventure awaits in the smallest pebble-
But should we just because we can?
May we never clear the Forests,
Beauty in all their enchanted grace;
The oak is strong and has much to share-
A little wild in the wilderness is really best.
