Who Am I?

Who Am I?

A Poem by thinkwhat

Who am I?
I know for sure that I am not the body,
I also know for sure that I am not the mind,
Cause, the mind and the body belong to me,
Which is why I say, that it's my mind and my body,
And suddenly I realize that I am the conscious that watches it all,
The awareness that is aware of everything,
I am an inseparable part of the universe,
A part of the source energy of which this universe is made of..

Is this a new poem? I was wondering if you wrote it after reading Run Silent, Run Deep"? It gave me a mild giggle when you said "Cause, the mind and the body belong to me,Which is why I say, that it's my mind and my body" A little comic relief never hurts. Two things though, in this line "And suddenly I realize that I am the conscious that watches it all, the word should be"consciousness" and I think you could choose a better word for the second "aware" in the following, "The awareness that is aware of everything," It's a bit redundant. Overall i liked your poem for it's self evaluative qualities and that you resolved your own questions.
