Thoughts During InsomniaA Poem by thinktodiscoverLate at night… When most are at rest, that’s when there is no escaping. The thoughts take control, memories flood back. Why did I want to grow up so fast? The innocence of childhood is a precious gift which is not properly appreciated until it is replaced by the trials of adulthood. As I sit and think into the loneliest hours of the night my heart is seized by regret and remorse. The Mockingbird has been murdered along with childhood. © 2013 thinktodiscover |
