Dancing With WolvesA Poem by thinktodiscoverShe dances with the wolves, Flies with the fairies, Sings through the rain And now her name haunts my dreams.
There once was a raven who adventured by the sea. She was a beauteous spirit, Her essence awoke the promise in me. Her feathers ablaze, she spread her wings, My heart she lit. And as the fire danced in its glory, Tenderly she entrusted me with her very own hearts key.
One night I didn’t know what to do So over the clouds and mountains, amidst the stars we flew. Her scarlet lips had whispered, “Let’s do this, just me and you.” The sight was unfathomable; she laughed, I cried. Then, as Dawn burst forth from her chamber of slumber We held hands and spun in the tide.
She dances with the wolves, Flies with the fairies, Sings through the rain And now her name haunts my dreams.
Golden sundrops spin through the air; Below, the green meadows blossom and stare. Amidst the grassy canvas two bodies lay side by side, Peaceful rest radiates, as if they had died.
Heaven sent a gift from above, A blanket of snow, carried down by a matching white dove. Porcelain skin shivers in its snowy grave; To this world filled with pain it’ll no longer be a slave.
She dances with the wolves, Flies with the fairies, Sings through the rain And now her name haunts my dreams. © 2013 thinktodiscover |
