The Great Sinking Ship

The Great Sinking Ship

A Poem by Kool Kat

The Great Sinking Ship

I'd like to tell you a story

It has nothing to do with me

Its not full of glory

But, it all started at sea

They came aboardpacked and ready

One by one they filed in

As the captain yells, "Keep her steady!"

The people on board wave goodbye to their kin

They said it was unsinkable

And evryone believed

They thought it was unthinkable

But no one was prepared for what they recieved

As they rode over the waves

When the moon began to glow

For some would have watery graves

As ice began to show

It must have been 12 o'clock

Or maybe quarter till

I wouldn't blame Mr.Murdoch

For the air was so still

When it hit it made a shutter

Everything had to stop

People began to Cluttler

As the bow Began to drop

2 hours was all they had

And not enough life boats

The crew ran from sterage like mad

And first class put on their coats

All they could do was pray

You could hear all the cries

Hopping they would see the next day

Soon their little hope starts to die

The screams die down

Stopping all panic

As young dreams drown

So does the unsinkable ship...

TITANIC
