What Time Has Done

What Time Has Done

A Poem by BeetleBug

Now that time
Has taken hold
Hands grow cold

Taken thought
Sight disappear
Takes hold of fear

Shadow breath
Stealing the leaves
Nothing to grieve

Evergreens
Sigh in their sleep
Keep all they keep

Frozen ground
Smell rise from beds
The rotting dead

Now that time
Has taken all
Tree grows tall

Flowers blush
Sweet honey-moon
craved by a lune

Nourish all
Living mother
Like no other

Seeds grow fat
Grow fearless hope
Stronger than rope

Live and breath
River of wind
Never to end

Now that time
Has taken me
Lock fits key

A hard edge to this simple style of very good, imaginative writing. I love the Da Vinci, too.
