Past Lives

Past Lives

A Poem by BeetleBug

In my past

I was many things

I was quiet, shy

And teasing

But in past lives

I might have been

Leonardo De Vinci

Or one of his kin

Perhaps a student

Of Albert Einstein

Someone that made

The world shine

I could have been

Queen Elizabeth the first

Sipping on tea

With my lips pursed

If I knew

If I could see

Who I was

I wouldn’t be me.

often feel like this! i like the way at the end your stating that you are you, which i feel reflects how a persons life should be lived for who they are, not who they wish they were ( i hope this is what you meant anyway haha ), wonderfully written :-)
