Phoenix

Phoenix

A Poem by Ioana Georgiana

She is a rare beauty,

Feathers like a peacock

Dripped in molten amber

Deafening is her squawk.

You see her in your dreams,

She has chosen you

For she does not appear

To anywho.

Full of grace,

She takes to unfold

The wings which hide

A story to be told.

Not only is she rare,

Not only is she free

Captivity's a sin

And commonness akin.

She is unrestrained,

Of nothing to be afraid

Some call her untamed

I call her queen of those she flamed.
