Winter Wonderland.A Poem by Ioana GeorgianaIt's a cold December night, But I'm inside, safe and warm A book in hand, a cup of tea on the table, Everything is pure bliss. I can see the world, From my small window The streets are reminiscent of a small child Tucked in bed, underneath milky sheets. The moon's silvering glow, Is the restless child's night light His lids soon flutter closed Against beautiful rosy cheeks. Snowflakes waltz gracefully, Twirling their way through the storm Gliding past the stars The sky is their dance floor. The trees are barren of their coat Held captive by frozen chains Their frail branches almost crack under the weight Of winter's loving kiss. Tonight, nature has succumbed to silence The roads are painted white Not a single soul in sight As hollow and scary as it may seem. This is winter wonderland's gleam.
