Letter to a heartbreaker

Letter to a heartbreaker

A Poem by Ioana Georgiana

I wish you knew,

What I desire to do

But I'm lacking the power,

To give into you.

I need more than

This simple conversation we have,

Meaningless words get thrown around

I need to feel.

I want to touch,

The damaged parts of you

But you close up,

Just like an old wound.

I crave to taste,

The sweetness of forbidden fruit

On your intoxicating lips,

So tempting, out of reach.

I dream of caressing,

With these hands of mine

Your tangled ebony strands

But dreams are fantasy.

I cannot do this,

Live forever through a lie

I've tried to heal your soul,

But you broke mine.

This evokes so much feeling in me, my exact take on love. You are right, it needs to be deep, there has to be a bigger meaning.

It is beautiful :) you are very descriptive about what you are wanting versus what the other is wanting. I love how you lowered the size of the font for the last line :) keep writing
