The Winters Dance

The Winters Dance

A Poem by Tess
"

This poem is a about the wind and the snow dancing and spreading the winter all around.

"
The wind, he took up the snow in a marvelous dance. He spun her round and round in her lovely dress that sparkles like silvery fire. As they dance the enchantment spreads. Soon it seems the dance must end, but even as the music dies the snow and wind dance on. He and she join hands and dance the winter through. They rush through swirling all the conifer boughs, and painting the aspens stark white. With grace and beauty the pair flew on. Night and day she kept on falling, and he quickens the pace. They howl through the valleys and whistle over the frozen lakes. The snow and the wind sow  the winter`s icy seed. Even as he stops for a rest she kept the dance a flowing. The snow falls and falls and buries fall away. But alas all good things must come to an end, for soon the spring must come. In the spring she will melt away, but their sister and brother will take up the dance. For his mighty brother will cry through the mountain tops and her sweet sister will wet the new leaves, and bring the music to life again.
