Deep

Deep

A Poem by Wildwood Fox

Deep in the forest where the ivy grows strong lies something that is untouched.
Deep in the wood where the thorns are sharp lies something that is hidden.
Deep in the trees where the ground is still soft lies something forgot.

Deep in the groves where the children play is  a place they should not tread.
Deep in the timber where no one goes stands a little gravestone.

Deep in the soil where no one can see, sleeps someone soundly.
Deep in the ground, where only the roots go, lies a lonely soul .
