The Dance of Darkness

The Dance of Darkness

A Poem by thewholesoul
"

A poem with dark humor and a closing image that you'd rather not imagine

"

I caught my neighbor

Waltzing in his living room

With a corpse dolled up with rouge

And his mother’s old wedding dress

I watched ‘em, to my horror,

Twirl around and then around

To a brass dusty grammophone

Playing Christian vinyl records !

While he was beaming with a smile

Clenching rose between his teeth

Her legs were stiff and cold

Dragging over floor beneath

And as their dancing picked up speed

Crumbs of earth between her toes

Started trailing from her feet !

Though I really felt like throwing up

Once they started making love

Well, just him,

She didn’t budge !!!
