On a planet made of jelly !A Poem by thewholesoulChildren's poem with political undertone.
On a planet made of jelly grew a giant with a belly
'Twas a very heavy belly fat and round And as ever more he gobbled all the more he wibble-wabbled 'Till eventually he toppled to the ground. Though he'd always been a meany who would bully every sweety From the people teeny-weeny whom he found Once the blobby brute was fallen like a baby he were bawlin' While the wee ones he were lordin' gathered round. "Ah so what if I were greedy" scoffed the giant ever needy "But for heaven's sake don't leave me on the ground" ! "Better give me some more jelly for the strength to lift my belly Or forever shall I bully ye around" But united an defiant at the blotted-pudgy giant They refused to help a tyrant or be cowed So they climbed upon his belly with their ladders made of jelly Where they sung a merry medley out aloud "Oh dump thee, hum free, we shall do our sweeties nay belong to you Too big to fail. Unjust ! Untrue ! Though you need us we need not you !!" © 2014 thewholesoul |
